What We Collect
Encore Savings collects minimal data to provide our service:
- Account information — email address and password if you create an account
- Search queries — to return relevant product results
- Saved items and preferences — products you save, follow, and category preferences (stored in our database if you have an account)
- Email address — if you sign up for deal alerts or create an account
Cookies & Tracking
Encore does not set tracking cookies on your browser. When you click an affiliate link on our site, the destination retailer (e.g., Best Buy, eBay, Amazon) may set cookies on your browser to track the referral. These cookies are set by the retailer, not by Encore. They are used to attribute your purchase to our referral so we can earn a commission.
How We Use Your Data
- To display relevant product search results
- To send deal alert and price drop emails (only if you opted in)
- To track products you follow and notify you of price changes
- To improve our product rankings and site experience
- We do not sell your personal data to third parties
- We do not use your data to train AI or machine learning models
Data Processors
We use the following third-party services to operate Encore Savings. Each processes data as described:
- Supabase — database and authentication hosting. Stores your account, saved items, followed products, and product catalog data. Supabase Privacy Policy
- Vercel — website hosting and serverless functions. Processes web requests. Vercel Privacy Policy
- Resend — transactional email delivery. Processes your email address to send deal alerts and price drop notifications. Resend Privacy Policy
- Retailer APIs — Best Buy, eBay, and others provide product data. No personal data is shared with retailers through our API calls.
- Affiliate networks — eBay Partner Network, Awin, Impact, and Amazon Associates handle click tracking and commission attribution when you click affiliate links.
Data Retention
- Account data — retained until you request deletion
- Saved items and follows — retained until you remove them or delete your account
- Price tracking data — snapshots retained for 90 days, then automatically deleted
- Email logs — retained by Resend per their data retention policy
- Product data — refreshed daily, stale listings removed within 24 hours
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data — view your saved items, follows, and preferences on your Dashboard
- Delete your account and all associated data — email us and we will process your request within 30 days
- Unsubscribe from emails — click “unsubscribe” in any email, or toggle alerts off in your Dashboard
- Export your data — contact us to receive a copy of your data
For data deletion or export requests, contact us at affiliate@encoresavings.com. We respond to all requests within 30 days as required by CCPA and GDPR.
California Residents (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). You may request to know what personal information we collect, request deletion of your data, and opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.
Children's Privacy
Encore is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
